Paul Wheatley
Founder & Director
With over 30 years of proven success in the technology and digital transformation industry, Paul is a seasoned leader with a passion for driving profitable growth and helping clients succeed. Throughout his career, Paul has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and an in-depth understanding of the IT and digital transformation marketspace.
Paul has held key leadership positions at global technology firms, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding market presence. Under his guidance, sales and operation teams have consistently exceeded targets and achieved record-breaking revenue milestones. Paul’s approach to leadership is direct and straight forward, where sales and operations are integrated to create a seamless and efficient business ecosystem. Paul is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within his teams.
Paul has a consultative approach, working closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and objectives, and then tailoring solutions to exactly meet their specific needs. This customer-centric focus has resulted in a high rate of client satisfaction and exceptional client retention rates.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Paul is a thought leader in the IT industry and is involved with several advisory boards providing insights on technology trends.
Paul holds a CMI level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Transformational Leadership, Paul is also a Prince2 Practitioner, which serves as a solid foundation for his in-depth technical knowledge, business acumen and leadership. Paul is an avid learner, continuously staying updated with the latest advancements in technology and is committed to integrate the latest advancements into our client solutions.
When not driving business growth, Paul enjoys playing golf (badly), walking the dog and is an active supporter of various charitable causes, giving back to the community.
Paul Russell
Associate Director
Paul helps business leaders and teams’ get the best out of their approach to solving problems and making the best decisions for them. As a technologist at heart with a depth of experience in customer and seller roles across multi-disciplined industry settings - technology, electronics and construction, Paul offers a human centred approach with a twist of technological thinking to encourage people to think ‘there is no box’.
His time in the ‘tech sector’ saw Paul work up from the traditional IT consultant role through senior leadership roles at Ricoh and IBM where he led smart building innovations commercial real estate and facility management sector. Sandwiched between these two leadership roles Paul jumped the other side of the fence to become CTO for the URS Europe and Middle East division, building platforms and services to support the civil engineering business. Throughout this time Paul sat as a UK representative on Microsoft’s Advisory Council for cloud technology development, overseeing the early adoption of cloud computing into the partner community.
Today Paul injects enterprise experiences to help FW Consulting clients explore ways to inject anti-fragility into how IT supports their business through his design thinking led approach as the tools of his trade. To underline Paul’s human centred approach he became a first-time author in 2022, with his book, Even If It Was Free, aimed at helping people demystify the conversation between seller and buyer. https://amzn.eu/d/gPY5C8D.
Outside of work Paul mentors underrepresented young people helping them find inspiration and guidance through the BLIX Network and has an ambassador role within the Digital Poverty Alliance, helping amplify the crisis of digital exclusion for so many in society.
Stewart Davison
Associate Director - Innovation
With an extensive career, including nearly 10 years in the British Army, Stewart has worked in the field of Social Housing and Proptech for over 25 years. Stewart is passionate about how technology can be a force for positive change, having worked in both front line social housing and for tech companies he is able to inform, educate and implement new technologies to improve the lives of tenants and residents across the UK.
During his time in the housing sector, Stewart has led teams in product development and sales, he is always looking for opportunities to utilise new technologies from other sectors to advance the housing sector and also showing other industries what they could learn from the best of social housing proptech. Stewart has successfully worked as a consultant on areas such as public procurement, software implementation and application, which has led Stewart to being a leading figure in the social housing technology sector.
Stewart has published many articles and papers across a wide range of technology and business related areas and is a sought after speaker for social housing and proptech. He has led discovery days, coaching and business planning sessions for executives and board members, focusing on emerging technologies and helping organisations to think differently. Stewart has an MSc in Leadership & Management, where he focused on developing successful leadership models for technology companies, he works closely with tech founders to assist in realising their growth ambitions.
